Supported Contests
State/Province QSO Parties
The majority of the contests supported by CQ/X are naturally state
or province QSO parties since those contests are the ones having a
mobile
component. The current version of CQ/X supports the following
state/province
and regional QSO parties.
1. Cross country includes multi-state capability and ability to operate
in the County
Hunter Nets. It is a precursor to a module for the US Counties contest
sponsored by MARAC. Support for US Counties was implemented in
Patch 179-06.
2.These are Multi-QPs which allow operation of multiple QSO parties
that are running concurrently. The
capability includes a means of splitting the log once you are done and
a documented process for producing the final
Cabrillo for submitting to the sponsor.
3. Notification of changes in the exchange for the 2011 AZQP was not
received in time to make the necessary changes. Consequently the AZQP
as
well as the PA-AZ is not supported in 2011.
To use this feature in each of these multi-QPs, except the AL-MAR-QP, you will need version 1.7.8
patched through Patch 178-04. AL-MAR-QP requires 1.7.9 patched through Patch 179-04.
Six of these multi-contests are currently supported:
-
the multi-contest (7-NE-IN-QP)
consisting of
7QP, New England QP, and Indiana QP
held in May
-
the multi-contest (AL-MAR-QP)
consisting of
ALQP, and the Maritimes QP
held in June
-
the
one (FL-NEB-QP) consisting of
Florida QP and
Nebraska QP held in late April
-
the one (KS-OH-HI-QP)
consisting of Kansas
QP, Ohio QP, and Hawaii QP held in late August
-
the one (NY-IA-QP) consisting
of New York
QP, and Iowa QP held in mid October
-
the one (PA-AZ-QP) consisting
of
Pennsylvania
QP, and Arizona QP held in early October
Other HF Contests
The current version of CQ/X also supports the
following contests that
do not have a mobile component but are contests that I enjoy. Others
will be added now that most of the work on the QSO parties is nearing
completion.
VHF/UHF Contests
The current version of CQ/X uses GPS data to detect and display the
current grid square in preparation for supporting VHF/UHF contests but
it is not yet set up for the details associated with these contests.
However, the current plan is to include support for some of these
contests in the near future since these contests also have a mobile
component.
