Supported Contests

State QSO Parties

The majority of the contests supported by CQ/X are naturally state QSO parties since those contests are the ones having a mobile component. The current version of CQ/X supports the following state and regional QSO parties:

7QP Alabama  Arizona Arkansas California
Colorado Connecticut Delaware Florida Georgia
Hawaii Idaho Illinois Indiana Iowa
Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Maryland-DC Michigan
Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Montana Nebraska
Nevada New England New Hampshire New Jersey New Mexico
New York North Carolina North Dakota Ohio Oklahoma
Pennsylvania South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas
Vermont Virginia Washington W. Virginia Wisconsin
Multi-QP* -- -- -- --

*Multi-QP allows operation of multiple QSO parties that are running concurrently. Three of these multi-contests are currently supported:

  1. the multi-contest consisting of 7QP, New England QP, and Indiana QP held in May

  2. the one consisting of Florida QP and Nebraska QP held in late April

  3. the one consisting of Kansas QP, Ohio QP, and Hawaii QP held in late August

The capability includes a means of splitting the log once you are done and a documented process for producing the final Cabrillo for submitting to the sponsor. To use this feature in each of these multi-QPs you will need version 1.7.8 patched through Patch 178-04.

Other HF Contests
The current version of CQ/X also supports the following contests that do not have a mobile component but are contests that I enjoy. Others will be added now that most of the work on the QSO parties is nearing completion.

ARRL Field Day ARRL Sweepstakes ARRL Ten Meter IARU-HF
NA QSO Party NA Sprint NCCC Sprints RAC Winter
CQWW WPX CWOps Mini-CWT -- --

VHF/UHF Contests

The current version of CQ/X uses GPS data to detect and display the current grid square in preparation for supporting VHF/UHF contests but it is not yet set up for the details associated with these contests. However, the current plan is to include support for some of these contests in the near future since these contests also have a mobile component.
