Parties and Multi-QPs
The majority of the contests supported by CQ/X are naturally state
or province QSO parties since those contests are the ones having a
component. The current version of CQ/X supports the following
and regional QSO parties.
1. Cross country includes
multi-state capability and ability to operate
in the County
Hunter Nets. It is a precursor to a module for the US Counties contest
sponsored by MARAC. Support for US Counties was implemented in
2.These are Multi-QPs which allow operation of multiple QSO parties
that are running concurrently. The
capability includes a means of splitting the log once you are done and
a documented process for producing the final
Cabrillo for submitting to the sponsor. Prior to operating one of these
contests you should consult this
document that contains some
helpful notes specific to these contests.
To use this feature in each of these multi-QPs you will need version
1.7.9 patched through at least Patch 179-09, except for
MI-SD-ON-ND-NE-QP you will need version 1.8.0 patched through at least
Patch 180-03 (due to be released by March 31, 2013).
3. AZQP is no longer supported.
The current version of CQ/X also supports the following contests that
do not have a mobile component.
The current version of CQ/X uses GPS data to detect and display the
current grid square in preparation for supporting VHF/UHF contests but
it is not yet set up for the details associated with these contests.
However, the current plan is to include support for some of these
contests in the near future since these contests also have a mobile
