Gary (W5ZL), Colin (KU5B)
and I plan to be active again in the
2009 Oklahoma QSO Party as a multi-two mobile.
We'll be operating two stations, and sharing the
driving and operating
duties.
Our route is looking like it has some large counties so in those
counties we plan to use both CW and SSB with initial focus on CW. We'll
have capability on 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 but expect 40/20 to be the
money bands.
Here are the counties in order of coverage. Hope we work you in
the 2009 Oklahoma QSO Party.
73,
Chuck/NO5W
Gary/W5ZL
Colin/KU5B

1. Time in these counties will be 15 minutes or less
2. Depending on time Garfield will be last on Saturday, or first on
Sunday, or both.
3. Kay and Noble on Saturday are time permitting as
are Johnston, Marshall, Bryan on
Sunday.
4. We intend to operate all 18 hours of the party. So, for example, if
we happen to arrive in Grant just north of Garfiled with an hour or so
left we likely will loop on east through Kay and Noble. Similarly on
Sunday if we see there is time we might add Bryan between Marshall and
Love.
Added 26-Mar-09: We executed the above plan with the exception of Kay
and Noble which had to be bypassed due to time limitations brought on
by a closed road whose detour added too much time. More details about
our trip and the results may be found on our
2009 OK QP 3830 Report.
